This is another effort of SOADO team to increase the food availability and reduce the reliance on the food aid of the communities. The team introduced to the farmers in Jalalaqsi of Hiran region a Conservation-tillage. A pilot of conservation-tillage designed to study the effect of the permanent cover on the crop production and the conservation of soil and water is conducted, which had shown that cover can suppress weed and improve water holding capacity of the soils.
